To minimize subsequent flooding during heavy rains, the Matraman Sub-district, East Jakarta takes dredging action at Utan Kayu River in Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, on Tuesday (3/3) afternoon.
It is targeted to be complete in one month
"We've sent 30 joint personnel plus 1 long arm roll excavator to the location. In total, we dredge the river up to two kilometers from the bridge of Jalan Kramat Asem until Pengayoman Park on Jalan Pramuka," expressed Matraman Sub-district Head, Andrianyah.
Those joint personnel are from Water Resources Sub-agency, Environment Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, sub-district and urban village employees, including PPSU.
